Cool trick to keep garden flag in place

Tip from a reader: Every week, I had to untangle or straighten out my small garden flag. Tired of doing it over and over again, I used two small magnets to weight the bottom of the flag to prevent it from tangling. With the two magnets attached from each side of the flag, it hangs beautifully on windy days.

What a clever idea, plus simple. Am going to try it. Thanks, fulltimesunseekers

Where did you get the magnets? Do you only have them on one side or both sides? I want to try to find some magnets that are heavy enough and will be weather-proof.

Hi Dorothy:
It looks like you can find magnets at any hobby/craft store like Michaels. You put one magnet on each side of the flag so they cling together through the fabric and act as a weight.
Let me know if you have any luck.

It did not work for me. I bought magnets at Hobby Lobby and within minutes they were gone.
